David Rumas is a Fellow of the Conference Consulting Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary authorized to perform actuarial services under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974.
His focus has been on assisting companies in accurately measuring their current plan settlement obligations (which often differ significantly from accounting and on-going funding measures).
He has over 25 years of substantial experience as a Senior Vice President at Mesirow Financial, Director of Actuarial Services for RSM McGladrey, Director at Deloitte and Senior Manager at Price Waterhouse. Working at these reputable companies has afforded him pension plan termination expertise and knowledge to address compliance issues under the IRS EPCRS program and successfully close PBGC audits.
His experience in bankruptcy testimony and mergers and acquisitions rounds out the necessary experience to consult on pension plan terminations.
